Mastercard Digital Gift Card 4+

I shouldn't have to install another app just to check my balance. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Gift cards don't need an app unless you're planning on receiving a lot. I have one Mastercard Gift Card. I went to activate it and now I need an app? Seriously! 🤦🏻‍♂️ The app asks for email, phone number and then simply doesn't work when you want to add your card.

So now, one has to email them. Before all of this, you simply went online, activated your card, or in my case, checked your balance and away you went. Instead, I'm stuck with a card I now have to email app support for. Frustrating and unnecessary.

You’re telling me that in order to check my balance, I need to install an app, make an account, make a PIN, ring Support to get them to verify it etc etc… I’ll just use mine until it gets declined I think. Too much effort. Will tell my family that while I appreciate it, it’s very hard to use and I’d recommend a digital gift card for specific brands or shops with better policies.

The app constantly buffers and is unable to load new gift cards and so is useless - immediate delete. Btw, why can't customers simply check their gift cards balance online? Is no need for an app, and you certainly do not need customers' name, phone number, and email address just to provide gift cards balance.
