MEATER® is the world’s first Wireless Smart Meat Thermometer that can help you cook meats perfectly every time.
The MEATER® app, together with the MEATER® meat thermometer (sold separately at https://meater.com/shop) will change the way you cook your meals, and make it a new and exciting experience. Using patented software algorithms, the MEATER® app will give you cook time estimates, and guide you towards the juiciest steak, chicken, turkey, fish or other cut of meat that you've ever cooked.
It’s time to break free from the kitchen or grill and let the MEATER® app monitor your food for you. When your food is ready, you'll receive audio and visual notifications on your smart device. This way, you can stop watching your food cook, giving you more time to focus on the things that matter the most to you.

Best gadget ever
Love it. We never fear splurging on good meat anymore as this thing cooks it perfectly every time. We always try to see how well we chef against the gadget and every time, we are wrong!! We cooked a whole fish and we would have pulled it out 25 minutes early as surprisingly it needed to cook for almost an hour! And don’t talk about resting as we would have hacked into our meat way too early with every Cook! So this has been one of the best things we have bought. Highly recommended - We even purchase them as gifts !!
Hopeless support
I bought a brand new MEATER block from the official MEATER website and after it eventually got here, I followed all the instructions to set it up, only to have a system that only works standalone.
Wi-Fi semi sort of works, but no probes discovered and the app versions are mismatched, with no apparent option to update them.
Support is woeful, with the only options being to send an email, since the FAQ is unhelpful.
All they need is a chat option. Perhaps that would allow comparatively simple issues to be resolved quickly or at least logged quickly.
A product like this should be somewhat more robust and less like a Beta testers toy.
Of the 4 different wireless thermometer products I have tried, this has been the only brand that hasn’t worked.

Good when it works but constant disconnect issues
Great when it works but almost every time I use it I spend 10 to 20 minutes trying to get the meater block and the probe to connect properly. Either the block isn't connected or it cant find the probe, or both. Forgetting and re pairing doesn't work. Eventually though, for some reason it just all hooks up and works (until next time).
To make matters worse, the setup menu is not intuitive and the connection help is very wordy, for specific circumstances and doesn't match the options in the app.
This is very frustrating and an experience shared by everyone in my local bbq club who has a meater.
