Another great game from Kairosoft
Started with game dev story, then the spa and soccer games. After 4 years since I stopped playing, I came back to purchase mega mall story 2 and spent the last week playing it non stop.

Buying plans ruins the game
Why do I have to buy plans in a horribly designed scrolling list before I can build? Sometimes less is more. While the game is a lot smoother and has more content than the original, there’s far too much going on with constant tapping through menus and pop ups. The first game is simply better purely because of its simplicity. It’s a shame because the new game engine and stores and combos are great.
Decent sequel, but missing a bit of polish
It’s a good follow up to the first Mega Mall Story, but I think Kairosoft missed a few tricks here.
- The translation to English is lacking in a few places (customer satisfactions(??), customer requests)
- The UI on iPad could do with proper scaling. Trying to interact with shops on the top and bottom floors is hard because the UI gets in the way
- Store combos: once the mall reaches a certain size, it becomes really difficult to tell which combos have already been built.
Despite this, I still love this game to death and have to give it to Kairosoft for NOT adding in micro transactions/IAPs!
