Gui The Great ,

Thanks Microsoft! :) :) :) :) 🥳🥳🥳

Swiftkey now know my exact location and has access to my entire photo library. I feel really safe knowing that a company as trustworthy as Microsoft knows my exact location. I also feel great that you can scan my entire photo library whenever you feel like it. They really need to know all this information to give me a keyboard!

What a great privacy respecting company you are!!!!!!!!!!!!! °x°

iPad version keeps crashing/closing

I have the latest version installed, but my iPad keeps closing the keyboard and showing the standard keyboard mid swipe. Can’t even get through a small sentence, very frustrating. This happens on all apps. I am a long time user and this seems to be recent, but I am so sick of it. If the built in Apple version could swipe in full width view, I would switch to it permanently. I literally get 5seconds and it closes and the standard apple keyboard appears. Even if I am not typing, just having the keyboard show, 5seconds later it closes. It is unusable. I removed all other keyboards and only had one listed - Swiftkey. The same problem, I do not need to do anything and it closes/crashes and a default keyboard is shown without a method to switch it back. To add to this, installing the Google’s GBoard keyboard, and it just works without an issue, even with other keyboards installed - this is a Swiftkey issue based on this alone.

Installed the new release and tried again this morning (19th Aug 2024), same issue it crashes and closes without actually doing anything (iPad Pro 11” 3rd Gen, latest IOS release). Re-enabling GBoard until it is fixed.

Adapts to my typing!

This is my favourite keyboard. I've used it for a few years now and all the other ones just frustrate me!
It's the only iPhone keyboard I can use without having to look at what keys I'm pressing. When my phone was running out of space, SwiftKey started crashing a lot. Then it disappeared one day. However, I found that I was making SO MANY typing mistakes with the iPhone's default keyboard! I had to press each key carefully or else it would be typo spaghetti! On reinstalling SwiftKey and going through the settings, I realised that it was because SwiftKey was adjusting its own map to match where my fingers tend to press. Therefore, I don't have to look too carefully at the keyboard because the keyboard has also adapted to my fingers. All other keyboards are extremely frustrating in comparison! Although ultimately, I'll always prefer a good ol' physical keyboard! And I would actually love a phone that came with a physical tactile keyboard that slides out from under the screen or something! Even if it was slightly fatter and heavier 😆

My only complaint is that it doesn't have support for Chinese! Nor does it have support for many other Asian languages - not Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Khmer.

Other than English, I mainly use Simplified Chinese Pinyin and I don't understand why it hasn't been included agter all these years, especially being owned by Microsoft who otherwise have extensive language resources.
