Midsomer Murders 12+

Good fun but …

Some very odd words in there - several are American English spelling (rather than UK English). Love the ‘find the’ games but REALLY wish there were more of them as I think only about 2 or 3 in the first three ‘murders’ so the word search gets a bit repetitive - but still enjoying.

Irritating Energy mechanic ruins the game

This game has great stories for mysteries, but the energy mechanic (a feature that causes anything you do in the game to cost 'energy,' then when you run out, prohibits further gameplay until you wait to have replenished enough energy again) absolutely destroys the game. It's incredibly irritating to only be able to do 6 crosswords at a time to progress, then already you are out of energy. Such a shame, because this game had such great potential with the good story telling.
But it's also the forced ads......making ads pop up in my face that I never even asked for, then having the audiacity to charge money just to get that to stop. I've played much better games out there that have the same great stories like this, and let me play it as long as I want in any sitting, because they don't have the energy mechanic, or forces unasked ads into your face, only ones you request, to get advantages.

This game could have been better, but I refuse to play any game with the energy mechanic that dictates how much or little I get to play at a time, or wastes my time by bombarding me with ads I didn't even request to watch. 1/10

Average game with no real detective work

It’s an okay game to pass the time. You solve word puzzles to give you tokens to find clues, which drives the game. There’s energy refresh for the puzzles so you play for a bit and then stop. I was hoping for some actual puzzles to solve inside the game, but it’s just more point and click and read through text. If there was actual work put into the game to find clues yourself, then it would be more interesting to play, but it’s just passive play.
