Secure if not perfect
I've been using Keepass across a number of devices for a couple of years, it's my go-to secure database program.
Since loading this version I've had a couple of sync issues with Dropbox; I download the latest file from Dropbox but Keepass seems to use the old copy. Only fix I've found is to update Dropbox again (from my PC which syncs ok and was up to date), then try and download to the iOS device using Dropbox again.
Other than that it's great, nice and clean interface. Like others the only additional feature I'd really like to see is auto-sync to a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive etc.
Appears to have been abandoned...
Having migrated to Apple iOS from another mobile device operating system, the first thing I did was look for a new KeePass client, with MiniKeePass being the first KeePass client I settled on (see below)... And for the most part, MiniKeePass “ticks all the right boxes”.
The problem is, this is a password management tool and therefore, security is one of the most important requirements of such an application - yet there has not been a single update / upgrade in over a year, and the update / upgrade history shows that although the developer has been working on this application for a long time, updates / upgrades have always been slow to roll out.
Even if you ignore the lack of updates / upgrades, there is a lot of “modern” functionality missing from this application - support for Face ID and custom icons being some of the most obvious examples... But there are plenty of others.
Don’t get me wrong, MiniKeePass is a wonderful application and the developer deserves a pat on the back for a job well done - but there are other KeePass clients out there which see more regular updates / upgrades AND offer “modern” functionality (such as native Face ID support).
Which is exactly why I have moved onto a different KeePass client from another developer, because the KeePass client I now use is updated / upgraded regularly and has a wide range of “modern” features... Try this and see what you think yourself, but don’t be afraid to try the alternatives.
Love the cross-platform functionality. Love it being so secure and convenient and easy not just for passwords but for essential confidential information. Since using KeePass I don't actually know what many of my passwords are!!
I would add the auto-sync with Dropbox or Google Drive, even if you have to make it read only on iOS.
