MixTape Pro 4+

This app is really quite poor and difficult to use. It is no doubt difficult to make such a program but that in it self does not warrant the price tag. As the name implies, it is not really designed for making a mixtape at all. It quite simply is a cut and paste program with auto beatmapping. The beat mapping is far from perfect and it is difficult to mix songs that I found much easier on a previous program in the past. Other than that all you can really do is change the volume and the bass/treble. The layout and scrolling is also cumbersome. The fade in and fade out method is annoying.

I previously used a cheap ACID pro program (~7yrs old) which was much easier to use and had many more options. This is quite unsinspiring and I would suggest holding off on purchasing this program until further updates are made.

In conclusion, considering what else is available on the market, do not buy this application.

A long-time music lover & aficionado, I have greatly enjoyed being able to step up my musical game (and perhaps credibilty!) by dabbling in the arts of beatmatching & mixing, made accessible & easy by the intuitive interface & built in tools of Mixtape Pro. Read the documentation, follow the tutorials in the app & and be sure to be vigilent with checking (and, as necessary, adjusting) timing tabs, and with a little bit of practice you should be on your way (it won’t happen overnight but it will happen) to creating high quality beatmatched mixes, and maybe even perform your sets live! (I’m working my way up to this…) On the couple of times I’ve needed support, response has been good and the problem easliy rectified. As a bit of a music nerd, this software has been an accessible way to lend my well-loved music collection a new lease on life. Thanks Atomic Droplet!

This applcation opened after installing the first time, once I tried to import some music files it crashed and hasn't been able to open since despite going through the usual steps of installing and reinstalling, restarting etc.

Don't bother. Hoping to get a refund through Apple.
