1. Had to log in again after each update. Does not have an option to at least “remember” email address, had to type in every time.2. “Return Home” after each booking rather than returning to the calendar of the week of booking. Had to press right arrow multiple times when making multiple advance bookings. There are a lot of great booking apps on the market. Please take note.
Why have locations moved to the bottom of the screen alongside child accounts? It’s a very illogical UX for my clients and so far all I’ve gotten is frustrated emails and confusion. On top of the outage yesterday, I’ve lost so many client bookings because all of a sudden locations are hidden and not set to “all by default” in the app like they are on the web plugin. This led to clients who are used to being able to view all classes for all locations by default are now thinking classes have been deleted or cancelled because they aren’t appearing in-app when they login. Is there a plan to address this? Or will I have to continue to field support inquiries regarding this? The app is clunky in its design and the forced manual request to wait for updates each time you open the app is bad design. Those few seconds lag can be the difference between a customer willing to book and one who decides they won’t because they have to wait for the app (again). When you initially login it’s then not clear how you get to the booking screen. How is someone supposed to know which venue to click on, or that they are I fact expected to click on a venue?Look, plenty of work to be done for sure. And some of the colour accessibility is still very lacking in its design. Most of my clients zoom it on their phones so much they can’t even press the buttons on the app screen to book. A larger font friendly design would go a long way.
Recently the yoga studio I attend migrated from MindBody to Momence. Compared to MindBody, Momence is a step back when it comes to booking classes. In MindBody, the default page is Bookings. But Momence insists on taking me to a page listing classes I’ve already attended, and I have select another page to see upcoming classes. When I get to that page, I have to scroll through classes that have already taken place that today before I can get to upcoming ones. I did try to contact Momence support about this, but that doesn’t seem to be possible for users - I can click on a link in the app, which takes me to their support webpage, but when I login to be able to send messages, I just get taken to My Account page, where the Contact support option isn’t accessible from. The studio owner tells me Momence is a much better experience for her than MindBody was, so clearly that’s where Momence’s Customer Support is focussed - the group who actually pay Momence directly, not the many “ordinary” users.
Major flaw .This app is not safe. Once you save a card to the app that business has access to withdraw money from that card. They don’t need any permission, once you save that card it’s up to the business to do they right thing. But they have access to your card and can withdraw money when ever they want. I have spoken with customer service. They seem to be brain washed. They continue you tell me it very safe. Didn’t matter how many times,I explain a business just took money out of my account, they didn’t need any authorisation to do it. They continued with it’s traceable, my point is no one should be able to take money out of my account. I sorted it out with the business directly but I didn’t realise this app give businesses access to my card freely . You can’t call and talk to anyone about the app So basically, they told me to delete my cards. I had a few studio that I used. I also had a membership with one of the studio , I had to cancel it. So I’m at a lost, because even if i work out other way to pay. I can’t book classes.
The most recent update - Native: 4.2.1 CodePush: v134 is horrible. Every time I open the up theres a bug that will cause the loading screen to come up as the app installs new updates. Obviously an untested ‘manage children’ button that hovers in prime UI real estate at the bottom of the screen and means I have to click around to find a touch point for the ‘book class’ button. The whole reason I’m using it. And a non existent load for ‘on demand’ content my studio provides because… reasons. If you’re going to overhaul the entire experience on an app that’s a core dialogue between user and business, that’s meant to be one of ease and affordance; try and actually make it do just that. I want the old version - purely so I can have some functionality and not have to wait constantly for crashes and load times just to simply book into a yoga class every day.
After a couple of yoga studios I go to started using Momence I decided to download the app. I like that I can see my bookings in there but there doesn’t seem to be any way to remove a studio from my list, even when it was more than a decade ago I went there and have moved cities since so don’t want their info. It would also be great if we could find studios near us (and great for the studios). Also, their support page says all the right things but you click on “contact support” and it reloads the page. So no support available (or at least not on a phone). Definitely some improvements needed to both the app and the website, but it’s got potential!
