moomoo: Trading & Investing 4+

The app is pretty easy to use, looks good aesthetically, fast and responsive UI, and I find their desktop version more useful and supports multi screen set up. A lot of the features are pretty unique eg. visualised company financials, which even some paid softwares like IRESS don’t have, but they let you use the app itself for free and you don’t have to open an account. I currently use commsec for Aussie shares but have a small account with them for US shares bcs there’s a brokerage refund offer for first 6 months. Haven’t decided whether to keep using after 6 months, but will still use the app for all my research, news and charting needs

Here what I found useful and what needs to be improve for the app.

THE FEATURES, the platform provides with an insane technology and screening method that can’t be found on other platforms

1. News features
I know that most app has this feature but the newsletter in this app are updated and easily accessible plus it also gives calendar for multiple events (earnings reports etc)

2. heat map
This feature gives a visual representation of how the market and which sectors are doing. Goes by showing the size of the sectors and providing the key visuals colors to indicate what’s the trend are

3. industrial chains
So far this is the feature that i find it amazing and useful. It gives a breakdown on the trending industry sector and breakdown their accountable and making components. Example: I want to buy a Tesla stock, the feature will breakdown what making components of the product and give you the list of the company that produces and supplies it to Tesla. With this feature I can actually think and figure out which products that i want to invest

Cons:

1. App UI & UX

Because the app is highly technological and also super complex the UX can get confusing and overwhelming. I think if the App can make a friendlier design interface it will be great

2. App navigation

Here me out when u get to the app it can get confusing because there is no early navigation for new user, once u get the hang of it the app work just fine

Great app for green-hands. Lots of interesting education videos, just like a pocket investment tutor. I like how these videos are free, short and well-presented. I have been learning for months and just placed my first trade and got so excited!
They have good promotions too. I was invited by a friend, we both got $50. Doesn't hurt to try. I also like how you could build your own watchlists and categorise them into different groups.
Mascot is so cool. I never see a financial company putting so much effort into a personified image. I think the company is doing something special and cool.
