Description
With Moshup you can do live datamoshing on your iPhone or iPad. Capture a short clip and then film something different. The first recording will stick to the second recording and will be transformed by its motion. You can create some interesting mapping effects. The app was mainly used on the viral TikTok datamoshing videos over the last two years.
You can also repeat Frames in order or randomly.
Save the result as image or video. While data moshing you can now fade back to a clean camera input. It's now also possible to watch a preview to decide if you want to save or continue with your video recording.

+ in experimental mode you can now record a clean video which can then be used like a normal imported video. It can also be reloaded later
+ Reloading a video or picture is now possible with a single icon instead of an extra button. Its a more compact approach
+ you can now datamosh two videos parallel together :)
+ videos can also be datamoshed together with the live camera input :)
+ small videos can be imported continues in a loop
+ add the possibility to mirror the camera input. So you can do interesting datamoshings with mirrors
+ you can now do live datamoshing with images Text or Emojis combined with the camera input
+ added a small timer which can be displayed during recording
Since the whole app was rebuilt there can be some bugs left.

Loop Option On Imported Videos?
I’ve just bought the full version hoping i could do the effect u can do when you drag the live record button to the right and it creates a data moshed feedback loop, is there a way i can use this effect on an imported video? only issue!

Hello. Thank you for supporting the app with the full version purchase. I assume you mean dragging the record button to the bottom left because dragging it to the right is activating the clean method. Anyway. You can do both when importing videos at the top left when you are in the import window. The cleaning function will only appear when you import a second video because the first video is imported clean anyway. Hope that answered your question. Impressed at this app’s quality!
As someone who has done datamoshing before, it’s pretty difficult. It involves you really breaking down your video file to the point that it’s difficult for you to even play it.
I wasn’t sure how this would end up being like on mobile but it actually turned out great! It’s super fun recording videos and seeing what weird patterns you can make. Somehow you always end up with something unique.
The fact that datamoshing is available ON THE GO like this is very cool. Would definitely recommend it if you like glitching stuff up.

In the next update i will try to add sound. This can maybe be quite interesting when frames are repeated :) enjoy the app so far. Greetings
Is this normal
Downloaded this app about a couple of months ago and since then the mixing quality has lowered by a fair chunk. I don’t know if it’s just me but when I see others do it they make it blend so smoothly, with mine the whole video breaks completely and turns into an amalgamation of pixels. Maybe it’s my settings, but I’ve played with them and they don’t seem to change that much
