Description
The video in this App was specifically created for people newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. The objective of the video is to help those diagnosed with MS, their family, friends, parents and teachers to understand this disease better. An improved understanding of this disease will hopefully alleviate some of the anxiety newly diagnosed people have about their diagnosis. This App also has a series of questions and answers and users are encouraged to share and tweet their results.
The central nervous system (CNS), which consists of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves, is affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Using high definition 3D visualisation and multimedia we take a look inside the human body at the nerve cells in the CNS to explain the sclerosing or scarring of the myelin sheath covering the axon of the oligodendrocyte (nerve cell). This sclerosing causes the transmission of nerve impulses to be slowed or dissipated.

Physiologically Accurate Depiction of MS
Well done again 3Dme. David Suzuki thinks so too. 3Dme are all about making complex information easy to understand, and they do it very well in this App! The video contains captivating 3D animation to explain exactly what MS is. I recommend this App as an accurate and up to date educational tool for someone newly diagnosed with MS, or health and medical students learning about the disease. Equally, a friend or family member trying to understand what MS is would also benefit greatly.
Brilliant graphics! Straightforward information
Really stunned by the graphics! They were fantastic! The visual's of the actual attacks and how the scarring effects the nerves ability to carry signals were great. Clarified my understanding of MS quite a bit.

Best 3D Visual Explanation of
Factual and engaging, easy for the lay person or health professional to understand. I have not seen a better visual explanation of MS which demonstrates exactly what is happening to the electrical impulse of the nerve cell when the myelin sheath is scarred or sclerosed. Well done 3Dme.
