The features of the app are subject to change. The app is free but download charges apply for downloading from the App Store. Non Vodafone customers can download the app however data charges will apply as per your plan rate. When accessing the app overseas, international roaming charges will apply. When on Wi-Fi, My Vodafone may not continuously update if you’ve logged out of the app.
What on earth is going on? This new update is terrible! It’s taken me a recharge of my prepaid plan and two data add ons and I still can’t get online unless I’m on wifi. I’ve used most of my data trying to get online, trying to check the app for my balance, can’t even see it because every time I log in, the app freezes and I have to do a force shut down of it and attempt o log in. I believe I’m at my 11th attempt now in the last hour alone. I’ve been trying since lunch time yesterday… it’s now 1:30 and I am no better off. Deadset this is mind numbing torture. I can set up my account - awesome - still can’t see my balance and why I still have no data. The one thing I am grateful for, is that you’ve moved away from the useless process of logging into the app on your phone, and the app sends you a text message to your phone to then follow the link to log back in to the app where funnily enough was right back to where you originally were in the first place.Honestly I’ve wasted money recharging 3 times - more than likely soon to be 4th and several hours more than what I should have trying to get in. Ohh and you can’t ring your team for help, because no one answers the phone either. Look I get there are teething issues when performing major updates but unless it’s ready for atleast the bare minimum of a soft launch. Don’t launch it at all. You’ve completely screwed up my day/night and money on this one and I still don’t see any real improvements as yet.
Why? After 2 years of updates nothing has changed

Over 2 years nothing has changed, bugs aren’t fixed and yet they have an update just about every month. It’s not user friendly when paying your bill. Hasn’t let you save your credit details and still it gives you outline of conditions of using the app while terms of use keeps on changing and if you don’t agree with them tracking you and don’t care about your privacy with third parties conditions you can’t use the app. Also they are starting to act like a collection agency to their on time paying customers who pays their bills on time by sending them a reminder on the actual day of the bill, to pay your bill or you’ll be charged a late fee of $15. No Australian businesses have ever been so rude! I’ve been with Vodafone since day one. But if they treat their loyal customers like this I’m changing once my contract has ended. Whoever is the billing manager who thought like they should treat their customers so rudely needs to be fired as they are a big liability to the company! Customs Relation Manager should step in. Uncle Scrooge is in the house and bringing out the whip to threaten customers to pay bills on time!! It makes you think why the updates when there is nothing new with any features to make life easier. In fact it makes it difficult to login every now and then.

Every update just gets worse. It’s gotten progressively worse for about the last 5 years. Keeps having errors and kicking you out and you can’t log back in but have to reset up your whole login process including your digital password as if it’s the first time ever that you’re trying to use the app. It’s a complete frustrating disservice and insult to your customers. If they can’t fix the app they should rollback to the one which worked well about 5 years ago or more. When I worked in computing from 1980 to 1998, if an update had problems which couldn’t be fixed on the run once released after full testing, they would shut it down and reload the previous version which had been running successfully and fix the update and retest it before rereleasing it. I remember telling Westpac bank that they needed to rollback their system one time when their upgrade blocked all communications for several days and that was when they had passbooks for their accounts. If Vodafone isn’t prepared to fix their app they’ll just drive more and more customers away.

Vodafone in general is absolute trash and this app is no better. Constant crashes, online chat doesn’t show responses half the time, to the point of being passed on 5 different times and having to uninstall/reinstall the app over 20 times trying to finish a conversation. Talking on the phone is obviously a complete waste of time as well when you just talk to offshore people that don’t even seem to be a part of Vodafone, let alone know how to fix basic problems or troubleshoot. I just wanted to upgrade my plan - the website kept crashing so I called. 3 different operators told me my plan was upgraded and all 3 times nothing was changed. The chat is just being verified 5 times and passed on between operators before crashing. I am starting to believe that this is actually their business strategy and the way they keep competitive is by spending $0 on improving their systems or customer support. Trash. TRASH. Honestly just avoid them it’s not worth the $5 a month savings or whatever
