Description
The Abbott Insertable Cardiac Monitor (ICM) is a slim profile device which continuously monitors your heart rhythm and automatically records events of interest as configured by your healthcare provider. The myMerlin™ app securely and proactively transmits information per a schedule set by your healthcare provider. The app’s intuitive user-friendly interface allows you to record symptomatic events, view past and upcoming transmissions and helps you stay connected with your healthcare provider. This makes it easier for your healthcare provider to obtain information about your heart’s rhythm. Some ICM device models include the ability for the device monitoring settings to be updated remotely by a healthcare provider.
This app will only function once paired with an Abbott Insertable Cardiac Monitor, an implantable device available via prescription only.

Compatibility with iOS 12.1.2 and iPhone 10
Since I replaced my iPhone to iPhone 10 and the new release iOS 12.1.2 , the automatic 2am read of my loop monitor does not work. Every morning I have to do a manual check and “send data” if necessary. I therefore also as the question, if the was an event captured by the Loop Monitor during the day, is that data automatically being sent to the app for transmission to St Jude ? If not that very much defeats the purpose of auto monitoring

A small change would greatly help
UPDATE: the new version is great. Thank you.
I stressed so much the first week thinking it wasn’t working because every day there is the same message ‘your cardiac monitor was checked today”. Which day? Yesterday? The day before? All it needs to say is the date. I called all the numbers and had excellent help from the Caribbean and Malaysia but the best information that I need not worry about poor connection or anything. The app will go ahead once a strong connection is established. This should be in the brochure. Hope this helps.

Rubbish
Updated to new version of App and it won’t record symptoms when I push button to record. Contacted company and was told they don’t know how to fix it and I should contact my doctor. He’s a medical professional, not a computer expert. If they don’t remove the internal monitor on my next visit, I’ll have to cut it out myself. Really not impressed with their support.
