On the whole it’s been a great system for the last 4 years I’ve had it, but the only real let down is the battery management. Fairly recently you were given the option to set the reserve level for a *custom* period - but the MINIMUM custom period is 24 hours!

What would be really useful is to be able to set a custom period of, say, 8 hours when a thunder storm are coming in and there is a risk of power cuts so you’d rather play it safe, or set it for a couple of hours when it’s clear the battery won’t fully charge today and you can take advantage of cheap rate electric now being stored for use at peak times. For example, here in SA my cheapest rate is between 10am and 3pm - it would be really useful to be able to tell it to charge for the next couple of hours before peak rate starts when we get home.

This is a solid, user-friendly app that helps with managing and understanding the performance of the system. One really useful additional feature would be to show the voltage levels recorded by the system. It’s very common in this country for the inverter to have to reduce output or even restart due to the mains voltage being too high. If the App has an expert mode that showed voltage and any output reductions, that would be awesome. Similarly any period of reduced output due to export limitations would be great to see. So, it’s a good app for seeing system performance, but it could become a great app for managing system performance with an ‘expert mode’.

Really don’t like the new interface, takes up way too much space with the vertical graphs for energy balance, rather than the previous horizontal ones - used to be able to see at a glance the energy balance, production & consumption graphs plus the date, all one the one screen without scrolling, and be able with one tap anywhere on the production/consumption graph expand to full screen view. Much easier to scroll back and visually scan and compare daily usage with the previous horizontal energy usage graphs. The fancy graphic at the top takes up way too much space so can’t see at a glance ‘above the fold’ all the info that used to be there. It’s kind of ruined in my opinion now and I look at it far less. Please bring back the old features, wasn’t broken, don’t fix it! Wish I could go back in time and not allowed the app to update!
