After downloading, just register and look out for your verification OTP (One Time Password) from Toyota. If own your Toyota, add your Toyota's Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or registration number and batch number to get started. Or if you are a driver of a Toyota and still want to reap the benefits of myToyota, just add the vehicle’s Registration Number and State.

Annoying at best

The app itself is okay, if it works. Every time it opens it is signed out and you need to sign in again, only to restart the experience next time the app opens.

Speaking of the app opening, as soon as the car starts and your in BT range, bang, the stupid app opens and takes priority. No matter if you’re a passenger writing a message, checking your email, watching something - bang - stupid Toyota app asking you to sign in AGAIN.

Annoying at best, absolutely terrible normally.

Disappointing and all a bit less than average

It has improved as there has been an update release since the original feedback show below.
Logs in ok now if you’ve rebooted the phone where you had to re-enter the password previously.

Original report.
A bit unremarkable. Not a lot of useful functionality here and the most annoying thing is that if you reboot your phone the app loses the password. It can keep the user name but the password needs to be re-entered every time you restart your phone. Other apps don’t do this including bank apps so why hasn’t Toyota put a bit more effort into this as it also carries the Toyota logo. Reasons why you reboot your phone include being 1. out of power and turning back on during charge; 2. updated phone operating system; 3. Clearing the phones sandbox (temp data) 4. Restarting to correct a perceived problem. Come on Toyota, build in a bit more user convenience. People remember what irritates them, so a bit more energy into design usefulness should be a larger consideration. .

Not a useful app

I booked a service through this app and I received a SMS stating that Toyota service team will contact me to confirm the booking. Since I never a call from them, I called them and they mentioned that the app does not have access to their systems and whatever service availability booking date that is displayed on the app will be irrelevant to the service availability date on their system and hence they requested to always call them for any service booking. So this app is basically misguiding the customers by showing incorrect booking dates and the booking information is not sent to the relevant service department to confirm my service booking.

Secondly, the app does not fetch the service history from the dealer and it only shows when is the next service.

The worst thing is the app does not offer file discounts on coles express. I used to fill the tank only in shell coles express and I have never ever filled petrol in BP or Caltex.

It would be good if myToyota offers file discounts in other petrol outlets and not specific to Caltex
