Enjoying this far more than Slay The Spire.
I always hear about Slay the Spire and I couldn’t get into that game, so I believed rogue deck based games are not for me. However after playing this, I was on it 8 hours straight. It’s so much fun. I am now hooked on other rogue-lite games especially when you unlock rewards for your runs at the end. It just feels so satisfying. Monster Train and this are causing me a huge backlog of games to play and finish due to the nature of how addictive these games are. “just one more run” and it’s already way past my bedtime and don’t realise how fast time flies. Highly recommend this gem.
Nice
There’s more to this than just the melons. Has some nice twists on the deckbuilder roguelite genre such as card combinations triggering effects, and selection of challenges to complete during the run. These are fairly unique to this game. It’s fun to try and achieve combinations during battle, almost like solving a puzzle rather than just the usually slinging of which every cards are possible in that turn. The UI is not ideal. Passable on large phone, but not sure of smaller phones as it seems maybe not much re-sizing was done for the port, if any.
