The NT Fishing & Boating Mate is a free official NT Government app designed to be the perfect digital companion for recreational fishers and boaters in the Territory.
The new improved version of the App has been redesigned as an easy-to-use one-stop tool to help anglers and boaters know the rules and to have a safe and enjoyable day on the water.
New features include direct access to tidal and wind information for your current location with 7 day forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology and best fishing time predictions for your area based on moon and sun charts.
The app also provides access to up-to-date detailed information on fish species, size limits, possession and vessel limits, boating rules, safety gear requirements, artificial reef locations, and best catch and release processes. The interactive maps provide location info on boating and fishing restriction areas and provide real time user notifications.
There is also a reporting function to share details on suspicious fishing activity, marine pests and pollution, as well as problem crocs.
