With the New Zealand Herald app all customers can:
• View your favourite sections of the NZ Herald as well as NZME Regional titles
• Personalize your experience by:
• Choosing between a standard or compact layout on mobile
• Adjusting the article font size based on your reading preference
• Customise alerts for breaking news, location and interest-based notifications
• Set your weather based on your geo-location or chosen location
• See all our content and subscribe to Premium within the app
If you are registered with us and sign into the app you can:
• Personalise your favourite sections for easy access from the homepage top menu
• Save news to read later in your own personal reading list
• Sign up for newsletters covering key topics of interest
If you’re a subscriber to our Premium content offering, you can also select offline reading for your saved news.
SUBSCRIPTION DETAILS
If you choose to upgrade to Premium, your payment will be processed by Apple.
Subscriptions can be managed by going to your Account Settings after purchase. Premium subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Your iTunes account will be charged for renewal within the 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. You may turn off auto-renewal after purchase by going to your iTunes Account Settings.

Premium Service
I fully appreciate that the NZ Herald deserves to be paid for its products. I live in Australia and subscribe to The Australian. As a Kiwi I’m interested in NZ news but really just want a paragraph or two of headlines and items of interest. The Herald app to date has served this purpose admirably but I am not prepared to pay for the Premium subscription you are currently advertising ($11 for the first month and about $22 thereafter). I don’t object to a reasonable amount of advertising if the service is otherwise free. Thanks for a great app over a number of years now that has been free to date. I simply feel that if I am to continue to use the app mostly for headlines it needs to be better priced (e.g. free with some advertising). However, I wish you well whatever way you go.

Expat: Great to get news from home.!
As a Kiwi living in Perth it is great to still feel connected via the NZ Herald app... it provides current news from home, and in most cases allows local news videos to be viewed... that it is free is also a bonus, and while there are adds, they don’t intrude on my ability to peruse the news without interruption

Screen non ability to adjust
I find that the ability not to be able to change font size and also the back ground really annoying. If you want to read along with other people in the dark with out have a bright screen shining up the room you cannot. The font is to small on mobile normal phone size unless you have a super size screen phone which is not everyone desire.
When overseas a lot of videos are not playable. Should have an ability to write directly to author/editor on article. Lots if room for improvement. Seems to be reporting with a political view and position rather than neutral.
