Why wouldn’t you?
The perfect companion to the Thermomix, the Cookidoo app is great in so many ways! The recipe database is huge (even bigger if you’re bilingual or very handy with Google Translate). I so often find myself inspired while out and about, look up a recipe on Cookidoo while still out, grab the necessary additional ingredients on the way home and my inspiration comes to fruition so quickly and easily once home. I could go on for ages about this app (and I don’t usually do reviews unless there’s something wrong with the app) but I’ll just leave it here by saying; you’d be mad to not to have Cookidoo if you have a thermomix.
I am still finding it difficult with complicated receipes
Don’t misjudge , I love my Thermomix. However I find a lot of recipes are complicated. Great for planning and showing off at dinner parties. Not so good when you are time limited like after work . Spending more time could be spent planning but it’s the searching of ingredients and a lot are not available. Have to make several trips to different shops to get what is needed. Reminds me when I was on a Paleo diet. A lot of people would not reside close to the metro city to get unusual ingredients. You may say look for alternatives but time is also taken to look up alternatives. Cookidoo I expect to make it easier. I am finding it is harder and go to the Thermo community to find alternative easy ingredients.
Love this but…
Love this app, love being able to browse and save then have the recipes readily available each day on the TM6 screen. Love the easy way to make a shopping list. Just wish two things:
1. We could quickly see what we rated a recipe without having to click on the stars. Maybe be able to filter saved recipes by our own ratings.
2. That we could write a notes section on each recipe like “kids liked this better when I used half of the stock concentrate recommended” or “substituted broccoli for spinach” or “used the bread crumbs from such and such recipe rather than the one stated here” so we could easily remember next time( something I could easily do with my old recipe cards or tangible cook books)
