OmniFocus — now celebrating 10 years as the trusted, gold-standard to-do list app — brings unrivaled power and flexibility to your Mac, making it easy to work the way you want to work.

OmniFocus manages everything in your busy life. Use projects to organize tasks naturally, and then add tags to organize across projects. Easily enter tasks when you’re on the go, and process them when you have time. Tap the Forecast view — which shows both tasks and calendar events — to get a handle on your day. Use the Review perspective to keep your projects and tasks on track.

Then let our free syncing system make sure your data is the same on every Mac. (And on OmniFocus for iOS and Web, available separately.) Because your data is encrypted, it’s safe in the cloud.

Essential for completing large projects

The suite of Omni applications have helped me finish yet another large project. They work together extremely well, and I got the work done in half the time with much less stress than if I had used word-processing and spreadsheet applications. OmniFocus was vital for continually capturing ideas that become vital for the final product, and managing the ever-changing tasks and demands of the project. OmniPlan was the only way to manage goals and steps, the changing timelines for collaboration, preventing the consequences for slippage. OmniOutliner was so easy to use for capturing and manipulating data, writing report drafts, and preparing various texts for differing audiences. OmniGraffle was the cleanest, quickest way not only to design data presentation, but also to map out report planning and check the logic of the report, from starting assumptions through arguments to recommendations. The best.

Eh

It's really hard to say how I feel about Omnifocus. I did the 14 day trail and I'm coming from things 3. I liked the look of this because it manages projects better, has some really cool stuff where you can play around and make this thing a power horse but it comes with some big downfalls as well.

For one, there's no today view which is really odd. I tried to do a google search, but it's really hard to find people who still use omnifocus - the net is dry on info compared to other taks managers! I know you can make your own perspectives... but that cost the pro version which is $160!!!

And that leads to my next issue, the more I kept digging I had kept in my mind that if I loved it I would have to pay such a huge price. $80 - with a stack of features missing, so it's actually $160 and that doesn't include IOS. Downloaded the IOS app - AND IT'S ANOTHER $120!! So now we are looking at $280 for a to-do list. Then to top it off, that doesn't include any future updates.

Then you offer a subscription service, which you would think is priced around what other software's are like and use it as a way to tantalise you to buy... but its $16 per month! So after a year it cost more then the application outright. Why! Wouldn't you have it considerably lower.

There's a few other oddities and Omnifocus 4 is in the works which would also mean you'd have to then buy again... I'm not interested in greed so I think I'll be going back to things

Do it! (After you've planned it, in OmniFocus)

Not for the feint-hearted, this app is a very fully featured task- and project- management app that can help jugglers to juggle (that's a metaphor, people!). I love it. My tip for those struggling with time management: Once you've written down everything you want to do, CULL THAT LIST often! No point keeping 100 projects going at a time, it will only stress you out. OmniFocus will easily handle those hundred projects and make them work better for you -- which is why it's great, but you still won't be able to finish everything and it will stress you out. But if you can discipline yourself to use OF to help you cull and then organise your priorities -- and that's what it's for -- there's a very strong chance that it will become your personal assistant of choice. 5 stars; no question.
