Great app for family chores and pocket money

As having the correct change to dispense pocket money is very rare, we instead use this app.
Set up the tasks and rewards and a point value system eg 150 points = $10. This is all easy and fluid to do. Scheduling, assigning, rostering. The app updates details immediately over each device it is used on.

Each member has there own list with assigned and scheduled tasks/chores. Tasks can also be unassigned or completed by another, thus completed and ticked off as opportune arises.

Kids can redeem points for cash, though is best when we go to shops, as I can check exactly how much they have and can reward an amount to them electronically, purchasing their chosen item with my card etc. or denying them as they haven’t saved enough.

Generally app works well and I recommend it to my friends. I am a little confused now and again on how to use it to my best advantage, but overall really happy with it. Have a chuckle when it sends a funny message if it hasn’t been used for a while.

Amazing app + suggestion

Overall I would say this app is fantastic. It’s really made things clearer in my share house. I am loving this app for so many different reasons, especially the point system, and especially how easy it is to tailor the way the app works to your choice (according to layout of the chores).

The only suggestion I would have for this app is to work more on the ‘groceries’ section. For example, living in a share house, it is often hard to know who is spending more money on communal items than other members. It would be nice to be able to write down the price of an item in the app, and have it track how much each member has spent for the household after the item is bought by a housemate. This way, as well as being able to make sure everyone is doing chores evenly, housemates would also be able to make sure everyone is spending money on the household communal items evenly.

Thanks for the feedback, CI.Ca, that's great to hear. I've also added your suggestion of a price field for grocery items to our list of improvements to make in the future. Let us know if you have any other ideas for how we can improve the app further :)

Great functionality, but now prone to hanging

I’ve been using the app for a while now to try to convince my partner to do his fair share of chores. It’s worked pretty well not only for that, but also to keep track of those weekly/fortnightly chores that otherwise you can lose track of when they’re due. It also has a neat shopping list manager.

The only problem with it is that after a recent-ish update, maybe a month or two ago, it no longer works reliably. I can open it up and it’ll work, but if I lock and unlock the phone, the screen won’t scroll and you can no longer flip between panels. The only way to fix it is to kill the app and reopen it afresh. I’ve found myself hardly using it since this change happened. I’d definitely bump my rating up if this were fixed!

Developer Response ,

Hi Jayeless, apologies for the bug, it's something that's been happening since iOS 11.3 was released and we're not currently sure what's causing it. We're looking into it though and will hopefully have a fix out soon. My apologies for any frustrations caused in the meantime.
