Description
AUSTRALIA WEATHER RADAR. This app only shows radars for Australia.
Oz weather radar allows you to view the BOM (Bureau of Meteorology) weather radar information located through Australia. Each radar image can be panned and zoomed to get a better look at the area you are interested in. Approximately 50 radars cover a large proportion of Australia to bring you the most up to date weather information.
The information cycles through the last few images so you can get a good look at what is happening around you.
All views show the latest feeds directly from the BOM web site. Dedicated weather watch radars provide the most up to date weather information every 10 minutes and in some cases every 6 minutes.

Ratings and Reviews
Update please
I have been using this app for at least 5 years now. I love the UI and the replication of the BOM website radar.
Unfortunately, the app very frequently crashes, especially when trying to change location of the radar. I’d love to see an update to this app to keep it functional.
Frustrating and disappointing
This app used to be great but now it crashes all the time, especially when changing locations. The GPS location finder also just hangs. It’s disappointing as when it works properly, the app does exactly what I want ie. shows an almost full screen rain radar for my chosen location. I also like that the GPS pin doesn’t distractingly flash or circle like it does on so many other apps.
Jul 21 - oh wow, the GPS location finder is working again?! So pleased, hope it lasts. Not crashing all the time now either. Will re-rate to 5 stars. Thanks for your work!
Great tool - use it daily
Wow there are a lot of whining folk out there.... it’s FREE.... don’t expect it to rock your world and DON’T rely on it as your only source and certainly please don’t complain when there’s a glitch. Feel better now. Anyway the only positive feedback I’d like to give would be a request (if possible) to translate the highest resolution (64km) range left, right, up or down as there has to be a bit of data there - I can’t always see what coming from off shore here in Noosa but the closest station is Gympie, so any rain coming from the east is hidden. Other than that, a great tool - I use it daily and don’t burst into tears if it’s down ;-)
