New Barcode Scanner Powered by Machine Learning (iOS 13)
Thanks to the latest advancements in machine learning available in iOS 13, Parcel now offers a new barcode scanner that does more than just getting a tracking number from a barcode. It also tries to recognize a carrier based on a package label that you scan.
Support for “Sign in with Apple” (iOS 13)
Sign in with Apple is a great way to create new accounts in 3rd party apps while keeping your personal information private. Not only you can create new accounts in Parcel using “Sign in with Apple”, you can also convert your existing Parcel account if you want to. Parcel does not ask for name, email or password when using “Sign in with Apple”.
Parcel now has a new Siri shortcut that allows you to see the latest information about your active deliveries. It is very simple to use and you can set it up in the app settings.
Dark Mode (iOS 13)
Not much to say, Parcel supports dark mode in iOS 13 and it looks great.
Support for Contextual Actions (iOS 13)
Now you can tap and hold on a delivery to perform actions on it. You can either track on website, find on map or mark as completed right from the deliveries list. This allows you to save time because normally to access those actions you would need to open a delivery first and then tap on the actions button.
• when you search for a delivery in Spotlight, you can tap and hold on it to see its full history
• delivery status icons in the main list are adjusted in size according to your system font size (iOS 13)
• when there is a suggestion from the app to change delivery carrier, you will see a new icon for that
Ratings and Reviews
The ONLY tracking app I will ever use
I bought this in the early days when it wasn’t quite so efficient and still had some bugs. I tried ALL the other tracking apps and NOTHING comes close to this one. If the app can not find the right postage service - simply send the developer an email and that gets fixed almost immediately.
It’s rare to find such a responsive developer and these days - the app is BOMBPROOF. It’s worth twice as much as they charge, and maybe it’s not as pretty as it could be — but it’s so simple to use and is always right.
Buy this app and ditch the ones costing you so much more. You won’t regret it.
Ps. I almost NEVER write reviews so the fact I actually wrote this and it’s more than 3 words should tell you how great I think it is.
This app is simple but it works extremely well. The guess of delivery company is almost always correct and when it isn’t, the list of other possible carriers gives you what you are looking for. In the instance where the carrier wasn’t available all it took was an email to the developer and in a couple of days a reply indicated that this hd been corrected. This is one of the cases where I pay the price of the “pro” app happily as I do think the developer needs to be rewarded for this work and what was asked was very reasonable.
Parcel is great. I used to use the Australia Post app to track local packages... once I got past all of their advertising screens (yes I know about parcel lockers already!) it worked well, however I usually had other tracking sites open to track different international shipments. Now, it’s all in Parcel. I don’t need to check it as when important stuff happens, I get notified. And all of my stuff is in one app both on mobile and desktop. The maps a nice touch too. Very much love this app. You should get it.
