Parka.is 4+

This is one of the worse apps I have ever seen. It promises to debit your pre-filled in credit card when you drive in and out of a car park that is managed by the Parka app.

It does not and you need to manually try to get the details from the Company and manually pay, or else pay at the parking lot when you visit (eg the waterfall or other site).

How simple would it be to get this to work?

I would suggest car companies complain and get something better to use for their tourist visitors in Iceland.

Beginning in about AD 800 and continuing for many centuries Nordic raiders plundered Western Europe, looting, raping, murdering and destroying all within their reach. Relieved that they can now access foreigners wealth without the necessity of a long cold & dangerous sea voyage the Icelanders have developed this App. The most valuable real estate in Iceland now comprises gravel covered car parks. This App efficiently continues the Nordic tradition of raping foreigners, but this time of their cash & not their virtue. It works well!

This app was impossible to use as the only way to pay was with credit card and 2-factor authentication to my mobile number in my home country, which was not operational travelling in Iceland. You need to link more payment options like ApplePay or PayPal.
