Ratings and Reviews
Better than all the other ‘cheap’ or free options
No in app purchases required. It just does as says. Most of the time tables etc are imported into excel without any changes, other than deleting unrequired zones/areas which you would need to do anyway unless you want to convert text you don’t need. Get it now.
Problems under the surface
While the extraction to the PDF content goes well and relatively fast, how this is actually presented does have issues.
Converted a bunch of pdf files to pages.
a. Each line in a paragraph was placed in its own text block. Thus a five line paragraph became five text blocks.
b. All text blocks had styles assigned to them. Nice touch - except the styles were all in an asian script. I have no idea what they are called nor how to bring them into english.
Don't know about others but I mostly do pdf conversions to edit and reformat pdfs. This is especially important if it involves OCR as some editing will be required. The issues described above make this editing much more involved than needed.
Have submitted samples as per request to developers.
(Edit 1: remove issue re doubling of headers as this was actually present in pdf.)
(Edit 2: did a conversion to Word (docx) and all went well. Contiguous text blocks, english styles, seems issue is the Pages conversion.)

Very Useful
I’m using it to convert image PDF bank statements to spreadsheets. It finds and extracts the tables of transactions well. I’m very happy with the results.
