Pencil Planner & Calendar Pro 4+

Have been looking for the perfect planner and wanted to steer away from paper.
Most digital planners can only be typed in, or are undated, or need to be uploaded into another app or just don’t have the features I’m looking for.
This one pulls in my calendar appointments, I can write over the top of it and decorate my calendar. I can view in weekly vertical style which I love and I can view my day schedule which has my never ending “to do” list that I can always refer to no matter what day it is.
The only thing that would make it better is if I can open my calendar appointments in the pencil planner app, currently they just show… but overall I highly recommended 😊

Prior to the most recent layout change, I could’ve easily given this app 10 stars.
This is the first app that has genuine calendar integration with customisable handwritten options. The niche market that this app has found is phenomenal - tying the high market demand for digital planners and e-calendar schedules (especially for work) in an unique, efficient and effective way.
Unfortunately, the changes they made early in the year has completely destroyed that.
The Apple Reminders integration is a great idea in theory.. however they have removed the option to go back to the original layout which had the option for both handwritten reminders (without automatically linking and converting to Apple Reminders) as well as handwritten notes. These are the layouts that are shown in the preview photos.
Since the update, they have completely removed this functionality and design, despite advertising that you could “choose” between the V1 and V2 layouts. The V2 layout is much more inflexible and rigid, with less opportunity and space to develop handwritten notes.
Despite emailing the Dev team with the suggestion to offer a setting option of reverting to V1 layout, no response has been received to date.
Super disappointing, especially at the lack of reply, and I’ve completely stopped using the app based on this.

I had the free version of the app for the last couple of years and was happy with it. I recently have more planning needs and wanted the week and year planner available in the paid pro version. Since I have paid, my note and calendar information gets deleted randomly but so far it has been 3 of 4 days the information was lost. All information and back to scratch. This is a major issue when this app had all my notes and planning tasks. I’ve had no response from support email yet. But only been 4 days. V2 of the view is not a good layout. V1 is good layout. It would be good if this was able to be changed in settings rather than on the home screen. Does not sync between iPhone and iPad though this is only a problem in pro.

Doesn’t seem to have been updated recently. If there aren’t regular updates, why did pencil planner go to a subscription model? A lifetime once off payment would be much better.
