Pencil Planner & Draw Calendar 4+

Great app

This is a great one for daily planners. Definitely have spent time trying to find a digital version of my good old faithful daily planner, and I stumbled across this one and love it! Basically like a real one, just on my iPad. Only things I would change is the size and being able to change the view for different tasks for the day instead of it just being on one whole page. Also having the ability to have a notes section would be great! I make lots of calls during the day and making notes on the same page as my daily tasks ends up being very cluttered looking by the end of the day. Also the ability to sync to my calendar would be awesome. Still well worth the full version and I use it everyday 😃

Great but no keyboard option

Great app that mimics a paper diary. Simple to use and simple in design which I really appreciate. Works very well with the apple pen. The only frustrating thing is there is no option for keyboard should for whatever reason I don’t have my apple pen with me and writing with your fingers is rather tricky.

Could be so much better

I had such high hopes for this app... to the extent of buying it. But it just fails on a few key fronts. Yes, syncing with external calendars would be awesome and I note the developers have that in mind but that’s not the Deal breaker.
It’s that in day view I cannot easily select another date that is a few weeks/months out. To get to another date it is laborious and time consuming. Yes you can click on the right hand arrow, or the top tabs but they only take you a page at a time. Hopeless if you need a date down the track.
I need a digital diary that is quick and easy to navigate, particularly in day view.
Also it does not move to portrait view. It stays in landscape and you have to adjust with zoom.
Positives are Apple Pencil is seamless and integrated and the app has a simple design.
But, that inability to select a future date easily is a real problem.
Something else that would improve it is if you could select a month page from the year view and a date page from the month view.
So far I am back to old fashioned pen & paper.... sigh.... and I so wanted to just be able carry around the iPad 😧

But... great idea developers. Just needs some fixes and tweaks.

For quick navigation you tap with your finger on the date number text displayed on a month or a week. If you are on the year view, tapping on "March" for instance will bring you to the March month view. Then, tapping on "23" will take you to the week of the 23rd. Then, tapping on 23 again will bring you to the 23rd day view. Hope this helps!
