Petrol Spy Australia 4+

I really appreciate the accuracy and simplicity of this app, I’ve used it for over a year now. Who doesn’t want to save a few dollars on petrol. Yes there is advertising, but it’s a free app, what can you expect... There’s just one thing that’s really started to bug me recently. Costco. I saw these really cheap prices for fuel, so turned up to fill up. But my journey was wasted as the pump didn’t work. Yep, you need to be a Costco member, and membership costs around $60/yr. They shouldn’t be listed on this app - it’s misleading and I’d say unfair for other normal fuel stations nearby that are not members only. And it wasted my time. And now I have to scan to find the second cheapest after Costco which obviously won’t show in red. Great app - just ban member only service station!

If you’re someone who will drive down a main strip to go past several servos to check which has the best price, this apps for you. Actually in this day and age of ridiculous petrol prices, this app is pretty much a winner for every driver!

I have always found the prices for the type of fuel I want to be up to date and accurate. The ads are a minor inconvenience for the info you’re getting. I want to thank the developers for calling it ‘Petrol Spy’ too and not something like ‘Gas Spy’. It bugs me when Aussies call petrol/fuel ‘gggaaassss’ like an American yokel! Cheers 😉

I have found your app to be accurate in all brand outlets except OTR service stations. That show a low price but when you pull up at the pump it is a higher price than is showing on your app.
The OTR staff when questioned simply say this is not their app and they are not liable to supply that price.
Then they say you don’t have to fill up if you don’t like it, relying on the customer just accepting the hirer price rather than going elsewhere.
Well OTR I hope a lot of people read this review and avoid using your outlets altogether.
