Good but missing key features
I'm not necessarily a professional photographer and probably more of a hobbyist, but one tool especially that I'm a little shocked is not included that I use quite often in Lightroom is the "dehaze" tool. I don't know if there's some sort of workaround to achieve this in Pixelmator pro, but I haven't found it yet if there is. It is one of the most powerful tools in lightroom in my opinion. I've also found that the denoise feature is missing in Pixelmator (though not from Photomator, the less pro option which I find a little weird). I'm making the transition away from Lightroom as I categorically do not like Adobe for their subscription models, and I'm currently leaning towards Photomator and Pixelmator because of their seamless integration with Apple software. I'm just a couple of days into the free trial and so far these are the things I've noticed. Overall I am quite pleased with it and enjoying using the programs! I like being able to start editing a photo and then realize it needs more work, then carry it over in Pixelmator. To me this logical process would also include the denoising feature in Pixelmator, but that's just my opinion. Thank you

We appreciate the constructive and in-depth review! I believe you'll be delighted to hear that Denoise feature is already available in Pixelmator Pro (Format > Denoise).
As for the Dehaze tool, it's in our roadmap for Photomator, so you can bet that it's on the way. :)

Pretty amazing software. Can't be beat for the price
Wow! I mean honestly, wow. I don't often leave reviews, however after the most recent update to Pixelmator Pro, I felt it wouldn't be fair to not give the devs the praise they deserve. The photo editing features alone are well worth the charge, BUT now, with all the templates they have added, the program has become so much more useful.
If you are getting started with your own online business/brand, this program will enable you to handle so much of your own design, social media content production, etc, that it's a no brainer.
Kudos to Pixelmator for not just making a great program, but continuing to improve their software and offering it without the claws in you subscription of many other similar programs (cough adobe cough)

As good as Photoshop
I've been using Pixelmator for about 8 years now, and I absolutely love it. It totally replaces the need for Photoshop and I've created posters, postcards, logos, social media posts, business cards and many other uses. I don't use the photo editing tools, I use it more like an advanced version of Canva. And the new Pixelmator Pro is realllly good. Didn't take too long to get used to it and it looks and feels much more powerful than the previous version, even though that did me fine up until now. Perfect if you just need something you can tinker around on and the price is amazing. It's all I use for all my social media marketing and graphic design use.
