Plants vs. Zombies™ 3 9+

PVZ 3 isn’t as bad as it looks.

I feel when people become familiar with a franchise they tend to stray away from change though, I feel PVZ 3 implements many new features well. Not being able to make personal selections for plants takes a lot of the control out of the players hands however. From a level design standpoint, pre-selected plants does make sense, especially when taking into account balancing issues. Though, it does take away some of the games charm. But, it also breeds new charm when getting a plant that you love. The level designs feel great and I love the new art style though, the storyline could be sped up a bit. In most cases I feel like I’m forced to watch a storyboard instead of playing the game I want to. All and all, really exited for the future of this game!

This Game is not PvZ 1/2

Great Game, I was reading through the reviews and the main reason for the bad reviews is that PvZ 3 is not the same as PvZ 1/2. Yes the game is different and many ways and forms, But you have to consider that this is PvZ 3 not 1 or 2, whether you like it or not, I think if the game stuck to the same concept as 1 and 2 it would get boring quick. Having a new style of gameplay, graphics, the concept, and the story Really makes PvZ 3 a great game, No one was expecting the major change in PvZ which is why it is many times better. Having a new style makes the game More Interesting and grants the player the ability to learn and take control of all the new features. Having the plants pre picked for you is definitely the major change everyone is talking about. I believe that this change makes it more interesting and forces the player to make more strategic moves which is what I think PvZ needed, This feature really makes it easy to get addicted to the game and is very fun. I would highly recommend this game to the classic PvZ fan base everyone loves. Give it a try and It will grow on you. Great Game Devs. 👍

PvZ 1/2 without casual fun

PvZ 1 and 2 had a great casual fun factor. You could go back and play levels you had played before. Not so for 3 where you are forced to play the next level with no opportunity for replay (so far). I’m at level 127 and some levels have been (IMO) impossible to do without power ups. You can’t go and do other levels to earn currency to buy or collect power ups like in PvZ 2, so when you’re stuck, you’re forced to wait for daily rewards to replenish your stocks or it’s IaP time. Being railroaded into set plants is fine, although I preferred being able to use my own favourite strategies instead of each level being essentially a set puzzle without much control. Part of the replayability of 1 and 2 was choosing new plants and trying out different strategies (like one of my favourite aspects of PvZ 1 where it picked 3 random plants for you). This is gone. My daughter loves watching the little storyline, but the ticket progression feels super forced. Honestly I don’t see the point. There are some nice new mechanics (water currents are both interesting and pleasantly horrible) in with the old stuff, but after a couple of days play pushing to see if it gets better, I’m giving up on the game.
