Great but Improvements need to be Made
Overall the game has really improved since it’s release in 2016. Introducing trading Pokémon has helped me a lot and being able to make friends really improves the experience and expresses the aim of Pokémon Go; to make friends in the community. Some improvements that would improve the game for me and many others would be the ability to trade and/or sell items. I have evolved all the Pokémon that require the Dragon Scale and Metal Coat and still have about 10 of each left and I don’t know what to do with them. I feel like deleting them is wasting them since when they first came out I tried hard to get them. Another benefit of trading items is that items like Dragon Scale, Kings Rock and Metal Coat are fairly harder to obtain than when they were first released, so allowing item trading would mean that trainers that have been playing for a long time (e.g. since 2016) would be able to help trainers that have just started and need these items. Another improvement that would improve the game would be the ability to message your friends within the game. Bringing in this feature would mean that Ultra and Best friends would be able to organise remote battles without having to get their contact details and message them over Skype or Messages.
A Non-Fan Who Fell In Love this Game
I never was a fan of Pokémon. I guess I was the next generation up from the anime and game craze. Even when the Pokémon Go craze hit, I avoided it partly due to that I didn’t care for Pokémon. Partly because I used to frequently play an old location-based collecting game called Gowalla and thought I’d be too hooked. And partly because I hate hype.
Then about a month after its release my close friend group were meeting up for a Pokémon hunting day. I didn’t want to not join them as one of my friends was going back overseas soon after. So I decided to install the game just so I wouldn’t feel left out or have nothing to do.
Well it’s over a year later. Many people have dropped off who were part of the craze. And here’s me. The non-Pokémon fan still playing on a daily basis. As are my group of friends. I’m still not a big Pokémon fan. But I love Pokémon Go. It’s had it’s ups and downs, but more ups than downs. I love going out with my friends and hunting or more recently raiding. Or just open up the game when I’m on a walk by myself. I even roped my husband into playing. And like full Pokémon fans I now have my favourites too. <3
Im back again!
I started playing when it first came out. And I loved it. As an avid fan of Pokemon I was so excited about this game.. I was one of those people who used to drive around and stop by places just to catch pokemon. I experienced running within a crowd of people trying to catch some rare pokemons out in the street. But then I suddenly lost interest probably after 6 months as it became repetitive. The game became boring. I think people lost interest because the updates and the release of new gen pokemons took forever to happen. But then when I found out that they released gen 2 pokemons my interest came back and up until now i am still playing. All my friends lost interest but im back! I hope that the makers of the game will be able to release gen 3 and 4 soon..
