Polarsteps - Travel Tracker 4+

I love this app. It has just the perfect combination of features to make it stand out against the rest. Automatic GPS tracking (without much battery usage), suggested posts, beautiful interface with the map and timeline below and last but not least, turning it into a book at the end! I haven’t gotten all my family onto this and will buy them books for their birthdays. Great Segway to some suggestions: it’d be great if you could buy books for people somehow if you are following them. Also, be great if you could collaborate on parts of trips or a whole trip with someone because often you are going with your partner or friend and both posting the same content. Automatic adding from social media posts would be great and be able to edit them after they’ve been added (just in case you actually don’t want them in there becuase you might have a double up or something. Being able to follow people to different degrees e.g. get immediate notifications for some people and not for others. To be able to comment on the overall trip and not just the individual posts. That’s all for now. Thanks for making a great app. I mean it. I’ll do whatever I can to support it to keep it up-to-date 😊

Edit: it would also be great if polar steps could automatically add posts from social media. And even better, get social media posts from travel trip in the past and create a travel book from the posts.

Love the app - after much searching, this was exactly what I was after, almost perfect. I love the location tracker, detailed enough for hikes / recording my paths while snowboarding etc. I use it as a journal, adding photos and writing a memo for the place I’m in.

Only things I would like to see improved: if I have bad internet (drops out when I click “publish”) or click to open something else and return to the app, often the entry I was working on is completely deleted if not “published”, causing frustration! Would be great if it automatically “saved as draft” or something, rather than having to start all over again.
Also, would be cool to be able to specify time in the same place over multiple days, rather than just arrival time, although this doesn’t bother me too much!

Thanks for your feedback and great to hear you love our app. If you click on the save button you should be able to save your posts as a draft when you're offline. Only make sure to not logout and back in as this will make you lose your drafts. Feel free to drop us a line at support@polarsteps.com for some more information about this.
