more Having got my very first iPhone (SE) just last week, I spent about 2 days researching which camera app to buy. ProCamera ended up being the one I went for. I honestly wasn't prepared for how bad the iPhone SE camera really is. In low light, it's absolute rubbish compared to the camera on my Lumia 930. Thankfully the Low light option in ProCamera allows me to get similar results at 640 ISO, as I can get on my Lumia at 200 ISO. I'm now seriously considering the paid Low light option. For video too, it's brilliant. I thought I would need to shoot with an app like filmic Pro. Although with CameraPro, I can set it to 25P in 4K and shoot with the exposure and focus lock options just the same as with the still camera. Which are all I need. In fact, I shot a bunch of sunset cloud footage this afternoon. Very impressed with the results considering the iPhone camera's lack of dynamic range. The HDR option works very well. I've tried it hand held a few times and have not been able to notice any ghosting or noise artefacts. Quite impressive really, and better than using a fake looking app HDR effect. To top it off, the inbuilt filter and editing options provide some very decent results too. I especially like a couple of the Technicolor filters. As far as I can tell, all that's missing is a perspective correction option. Hopefully this can be added in a near future version of the app? 😊👍🏻 So in conclusion, ProCamera is brilliant app, and definitely the only camera I can see myself ever needing on an iPhone.2025 update. Still using it on my iPhone 16 Pro. I love having the option to disable as much of the computational photography look as possible.

Fantastic features for full manual control make for great night shots. Unlike the standard phone app where, unbelievably, you can't set aspect ratio until AFTER you take the shot (how stupid is that!), with ProCamera you can set aspect ratio in preferences - making framing the shot so much better. The HDR mode gives shots that I have difficulty producing on my DSLR. The latest version supports choice of lens on iPhone 8 Plus. Look through the preference settings to get a feel for how much power and versatility this app has. That said, it is also very intuitive to use. This is a superb camera app, and the developers are great to deal with. Well done team.

When are we ever going to have Bothie shots combined into one (picture in picture). Been waiting for too long and think developers are underestimating the popularity of this feature. How does the person taking the shot be included in the shot when there is no time to set up the phone in a secure place and to use the timer feature. More often than not this is not practical nor can it possibly happen with video. But having Bothie combined in one shot brings the person into the shot especially when the shot is with your loved one’s. That way, the camera person is not missing. Thank you.
