Proton Drive: Cloud Storage 4+

I’m very much enjoying the proton product suite, in particular encrypted storage which is not a default offering with other cloud providers.

One feature request I do have is the ability to scan PDFs from camera directly (e.g. take a photo of a document, it is then PDF’d on upload).

I really want to like the Proton software. In fact, I paid $300 for a two-year subscription (primarily to use the Drive). However, their Drive has incredibly limited functionality. Of course, the main reason I put the software on my iPhone was to be able to quickly upload my photos to my PC (especially since sharing photos between Windows and iOS is so tedious). However, an upload limit of 10 photos at a time is frankly ridiculous - I didn't have this issue with Dropbox, and I'm sure drives like iCloud and Google Drive don't have this issue either. Also, the Windows software is buggy - the files do not automatically download to the PC no matter what you do (they are supposed to automatically download if you check "Always keep on this device", but this feature does not work.) So if I want to have offline access, I have to manually open every single photo on my PC after uploading! This is almost as bad as using email to share photos! Borderline competely useless - I might as well just plug my phone into the PC myself and carry a USB around. It would be faster and more reliable. I can also see that I am not the only person to have left this feedback and it has been completely ignored, which is not very reassuring. The software is quite expensive and I am really disappointed that users' feedback is not being considered. I will be looking into Ente, Mega Storage, and NordVPN's secure storage as other users have recommended.

The security it great but I’ve been trying for five hours to load a five minute video! It’s usually very slow but eventually works but it’s getting worse & worse with constant ‘error’ messages. It finally got to 100% after hours and then the video disappeared. It’s currently impossible to load up videos - even short ones. I have the $4.99pm subscription. Highly frustrating and such a big time waster. Please fix this - as it could be a awesome secure service. Happy to change this two stars - if glitch can be fixed or you’ve a solution for me 🙏🏽
