Excellent app
It is excellent to see Proton release a cloud storage option. Even better that it’s included in the Proton Unlimited bundle – what a bargain!
I am so glad to finally be rid of Google Drive. I am very much enjoying the knowledge that my data are not being mined for every last scrap and morsel of information to feed a multibillion dollar multinational advertising network.
Too slow
The security it great but I’ve been trying for five hours to load a five minute video! It’s usually very slow but eventually works but it’s getting worse & worse with constant ‘error’ messages. It finally got to 100% after hours and then the video disappeared. It’s currently impossible to load up videos - even short ones. I have the $4.99pm subscription. Highly frustrating and such a big time waster. Please fix this - as it could be a awesome secure service. Happy to change this two stars - if glitch can be fixed or you’ve a solution for me 🙏🏽

Look forward to the future
I like Proton, I pay my subscription fee each month and have hundreds of GBs to use for storage to use. Proton Drive is good for storing sensitive documents and some photos, but because it cannot store the files in the cloud and keep them off the device they stay on my phone and use up storage space. And there is no search function. So while the storage is secure it's just not practical for large amounts of files and directories at this stage.

Thank you for taking the time and leaving us a review! Please note that when you upload files to Proton Drive, they are already stored on the cloud. However, uploading the file will not make any changes locally, unless you manually decide to delete them from your device.
Moreover, we definitely want to implement the "Search" functionality in the app. It's not a straightforward task because all the file names are encrypted. That's why it is taking us some time to come up with a simple and secure solution. So please bear with us, and hopefully, we'll earn a 5-star rating from you very soon!
