Description
Puffin Cloud Browser is the client app that accesses the cloud server which runs the web browser. The Puffin client app and the Puffin cloud server do not communicate in HTTP protocol and the data exchange is not in HTML format. The Puffin client app is like the remote desktop client and the Puffin cloud server is like the remote desktop server. Puffin Cloud Browser gives the audience the illusion of a web browser but it is not, in reality, a web browser. Puffin Cloud Browser can only "display" the web content rendered on the cloud servers but can't "render" the web content itself on the client devices.

Long time user dropped from 5 stars to 3
I started with the free version (now discontinued) purchased paid version years ago as desktop view on mobile was very beneficial. But in the last few weeks desktop reverts to a mobile view only. Disappointing and hopefully this gets fixed. Seems anything good never lasts anymore. In all honesty the ‘desktop view’ is the main attraction to myself. Sadly now that’s not working and reverts to mobile view. It’s just like any others available and I wouldn’t have purchased this awesome app that lacks now 😢
Mixed Feelings
I purchased this browser specifically so I could play flash based video content for work. I can’t seem to log into Boardmaker to access the content that I need. Have also just found out that Puffin was to be discontinued in July 2019, so not sure why it is still available for purchase. That being said, it loads sites quickly and is easy to use.
Not optimised for iPad Pro 12.9
To start let me just say this browser is fantastic, flash is a little slow but I can live with that but not being optimised for the 12.9 iPad Pro is why I can only give 4 stars.
Button clicks on the 12.9 are not where they are supposed to be leaving me to guess where to tap especially in a game like Forge of Empires for example, it works perfectly on iPhone however.
Optimise the iPad Pro 12.9 and I will definitely give 5 stars.
