The goal is to master "1000 Words Worth Knowing" – words selected by Merriam-Webster editors to challenge, intrigue, and contribute to a powerful vocabulary.
Quizzitive offers 10 difficulty levels, with quiz types from “Speed Drill” to “Name That Thing.” Master the words, beat your personal best, and see how your scores compare to the crowd.
The first two levels of the game are free. An in-app purchase unlocks the full game and turns off ads.

Fun, & Speed is the Challenge
Enjoyable, but am not a fan of multiple choice which is a very USA way of quizzing. It means the answers are almost always too simplistic, so that sometimes it is difficult to agree with them.
Still, it is fun, and one enjoys having to give rapid answers.
Excellent
First 2 levels are free in this game and it’s worth paying the extra couple of dollars for the next 8 levels.
Of the 4 quiz types, the most useful is “Name the Thing”. English has some ridiculously specific words that you only see in writing and it is nice to see these illustrated so you know exactly what they mean. It would be great to have more of these.
Great but not awesome
I like the varied games to reinforce the learning of each new word. But to take this app to the next level, a pronunciation recording on how to pronounce each word correctly would be awesome.
