Radar Reminder does exactly that - Speed Camera reminders for you - to "check your speed"!

Every day there is a new batch of 'covert Mobile Speed Camera locations' published and posted by SAPOL to their website.

Radar Reminder delivers 'reminders' of those 'published locations' when you're driving in proximity to those 'published locations'.

We also provide warnings for Fixed Cameras - approximately 200m - before you get there.

We update our app as soon as SAPOL updates theirs; usually on Tuesday evenings.


Radar Reminder has a handy GPS speedometer on the dashboard as well as 'Start & Stop' buttons for easy muting of the alerts.

You can also 'single-tap' the bottom circle to mute the audio alerts for 30 seconds.
Double tap to full mute.
Single tap again to re-enable audio.

Check Settings for all alert toggles enabled!

Be sure to have your phone safely secured in a cradle or similar.

Do not hold your phone in your hand when driving. It is illegal.

You can set the 'Minimum Speed' before you receive an alert to prevent unnecessary alerts while you're stationary. 25 to 30 km/h is a good setting.

You can also set the Mobile Speed Camera and Fixed Speed Camera alerts to repeat every 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5-minute intervals.


Apple CARPLAY
Tip for CARPLAY users: my experience is that the Voice Alerts will subdue your music for a few seconds during the 'alert' then allow your music to resume.
If the 'Over-Speed" alert stops your music then set the "Over-Speed" audio alert toggles to OFF - be sure to leave the "Notifications, Haptic (vibrate) and Visual" alerts ON.

RR SA delivers three different types of alerts for speed cameras in the "Foreground Mode" = Dashboard on screen.
* TTS (text-to-speech) - optional with toggle.
* Audio (siren) - optional with toggle
* Visual (pop-up screen for 6 seconds) - optional with toggle.


With your phone locked, or, with other apps in the 'foreground' - both the Free Trial and the Paid Version will deliver Speed Camera Alerts from "the Background" - (once the Start button has been tapped), the reminders will arrive as 'spoken-word-alerts' even on a locked screen:
