Description

Yearly lets you systematically read your Bible in a year, with daily readings from both the Old Testament and the New Testament. It’s a simple app with one main screen, showing your reading for the current day as well as for previous and next days. You can read each day’s reading directly within the app, mark days as read, and take notes.

Yearly also sends an optional notification every morning at 5:00 AM so you can know right from your lock screen what your reading is for the day. You can customize when this notification gets sent, and optionally have a badge on the app until the current day’s reading is complete.

With a simple settings menu that you can access by sliding from the left edge of the screen, you can customize your schedule’s start day to begin any day of the year, not just January 1. You can also customize the app’s background color by swiping from right to left on the main screen.

Helpful, but could use more features

I love the idea of this app, but I would like to be able to see an overview of the year with what dates I have missed with my daily bible reading. It would also be good to have a more customisable background and have a button for the settings tab (swiping to find the settings is a bit confusing). It would also be good if the daily Bible verses could link to a website with the verses (such as Bible Study Tools or Bible Hub, etc.)

In saying that, this is a free app which works well. It would be even better with some more features :)

Helped me

Been always trying to read bible in one year. This app has motivated me to stay on track.
It’s so simple. Gives a daily reminder. And breaks up Old Testament and new to make it quick and interesting.
