An amazing grounding experience

I’m so glad I found this app. It’s been really helpful in creating a grounded experience whilst I am on my sober journey. A daily check in with myself, great neuroscience information, and health information that continues to feed into the ‘why’ for me to not drink. I love that the app counts your days of sobriety, check ins for your mental health and cravings. I really enjoyed the first few months of daily Reminders pf the health benefits but these slow down after you get into several months. My only quibble (small) would be to have more of these each day connected to health; science and well being. I’m nearly 6 months sober - never in my life have I been here. The app has kept me on this track!! With thanks 🙏☺️💗

Needs an added level of sophistication

This app is a good start, however the messages are generic, rather than being tailored based on the data the user inputs. For example, I set my goal at 15 drinks a week based on 5 drinks, 3 days a week. The first night, I had a major blow out and had 10 drinks. I woke up the next morning feeling ashamed of myself, only to be congratulated by the app because I had stayed under my target of 15. I also get messages about how my body is beginning to improve because I haven’t been drinking, when I fact I have, I’ve just remained under my limit. I would like to see improvements in this area, such as a notification that comes up to warn you of the risk of having 10 drinks in a night. Diet apps do this if you eat under the recommended calories. My other issue is that all the events and check in are in GMT, rather than AEST so doesn’t work for people on this side of the world. Other than that, the readings are good and I like being accountable logging my drinks.

Helps me several times .. each time I get better

I've use this app three or four times over the last three years.

I find it motivates me each and every time really well.

Different things happen in my life, and I fall back into alcohol, but each time I learn something about myself, and my way in this on each different lesson.

when I can see the lesson, I then use the app to manage myself back on track

i've been a binge drinker ,can't drink every day.

to see ,understand and be aware whats behind my drinking has been difficulty to identify.

short story is

I simply learned to be really aware of what I really do feel and validate these feelings to myself,

and when I do that

I can let go of alcohol

this is my story and the app helps me

it gives me understanding of alcohol itself
The effect on my body and the progress I make, and what I expect to confront whilst letting go of alcohol

The big picture is,
I improve my awareness, every time

why I reach to alcohol and have learnt how to process my feelings and emotions

and thus my need for alcohol is declining

I control "it " now

"it" does not control me

I choose , process my feelings and emotions now comfortably

alcohol is still part of my life

and my process..

However it no longer owns me .

Life is a choice

This app helped me make choices for myself.

and not for others all the time

and thus alcohol no longer covers up or drowns out my true inner voice /self.
