Latest app update has issues

First, I like Renogy gear and I have a lot of it but this app is frustrating. First if you try and change the name of any registered device showing and hit save, it will never change the name of any device. So I am stuck with factory model numbers. I have 4 smart batts in parallel with network interconnects. Individually registered and then all four show most of the time. But you will not be able to work out which battery is 1 to 4. So if you want to trouble shoot then your out of luck. Also constant freezing so rather than wait, just have to keep exiting and entering the app to try and get a reading update. Pitty as they loose plenty of sales due to this issue given people who spend a few k in funds, expect a basic app that actually works.

Useless when away from city

App has mediocre logging capability. Only records max and min for the day so you cannot see trends or overall history. Worst of all the app only allows access to your Bluetooth devices when internet connection is available. Useless to check system status when outside mobile data range! This point is unacceptable.

Regarding your concern about logging capability, we understand that different devices have different history recording capabilities. Therefore, we kindly request you to send us your device details at digital_service@renogy.com so that we can provide you with further assistance.

Regarding the issue with Bluetooth device access, we would like to clarify that our app does not require an internet connection to access your Bluetooth devices. The app needs internet access only when you log in for the first time. Once you've logged in, you can add and monitor energy devices via Bluetooth even when offline. However, we do recommend that you have internet access to access the community feature and other online resources.

Good app, would be better with more data like the Renogy BT app

I like the app and am currently using it with the BT-2 and Hub to display data for a couple of Renogy devices. Had a couple of issues with initial setup that was addressed with FAQ on the support site. Would like to see more of the detail available like seen in the Renogy BT app in a future update.
Range of the BT-2 is great. I can connect from a good distance away. Would love for the app to work in Apple CarPlay so I can get the data/controls on the head unit of my SUV where the Renogy devices are located.
