I love using Rent Pay as someone who lives pay check to pay check, it’s a lot easier to put rent away as the month goes on - and I live that it builds my credit score! It’s a bit frustrating however with some small bugs, the fact it can take around 3-4 days for money to go into the rent pay account and it logs me out of the app at least twice a month, which is about how often I use it - so pretty much every time I use the app it’s completely logged me out and I have to log in again, enable Face ID, set a passcode etc.

My experience using this app… Pros: I literally was able to sign up, add my verification info in and load my entire rent as well as pay the real estate all within 20-30min. Moving forward I’m sure will only take minutes to pay my rent as I’m finished with the signup and verification process. I love the cute confetti graphics. I love the colours of the app, they layout is really clean, nice and easy to read. It is a great concept. I’m sure, there will be a lot of success with this. I sent customer service an email, they got back to me the next day. I’m sure this will increase as the New Year employees come back to work. I found that the customer service , Jayden, already checked my account and concern and noted I already sorted it myself. His acknowledgment was all I now required. So that was good. I look forward to using it moving forward, time will tell if it’s something that makes my life easier or not. That I can answer later. Concerns: I do hope it’s secure! It is one thing I worry about with online transactions, I hope money and time has been spent without limits to secure all my information. Negative: I did have a little trouble with the sign up process, my address wasn’t being recognised. But I closed it, reopened, then it corrected itself. Overall: Great app, easy to use, best of all, payments to real estate are sent fast. And payments into my wallet were pretty much instant using a CC. Thanks for this, I do believe the world of renters do need it.

Absolutely awesome app that works seamlessly and takes the stress of paying rent completely out of my hands. So easy to set up and navigate through the app but if you do need any assistance their customer service staff are always very friendly and helpful. Not only does the app pay my rent on time but the extra added features available are terrific. Being able to nominate an amount to add on to each rent payment as an Emergency Buffer just in case you find yourself short on funds one week is the best idea! RENTPAY holds onto it securely for you just like your Bank would, you can also withdraw that money at anytime and RENTPAY deposits it straight back into your nominated bank account that same day. The app also helps you build your Credit Score, another terrific feature that’s included in the very minimal monthly fee. This app is brilliant and if I could give it more stars I would!

I’ve endured RentPay for five months, lured in by their slick ads. This service is a nightmare! It’s supposed to handle my rent payments, but it’s only reliable 90% of the time. And don’t get me started on their complete failure to alert me to pause the auto-debit after adding funds to their wallet. This oversight resulted in an infuriating double-charge and overdrafted my bank account. Trying to reverse a charge or withdraw funds from your wallet? Good luck! You can only do that only via a phone call during their business hours, which is absolutely useless in any urgent scenario. And forget about adjusting a payment once it’s pending – if your rent changes, you’re stuck in a payment mess.The final straw? The Equifax Scorebuilder feature is a total bust. It’s been over three months of on-time payments, and still nothing – the whole reason I signed up for this scam in the first place.Save yourself the headache and avoid RentPay at all costs. I’m now using my bank’s auto-debit feature and saving the absurd $3 monthly fee. Trust me, it’s a much smarter move.
