Unusable app

Even with my blazing fast internet this app downloads magazines at dial up speed. If you want to experience what it was like in the 90s, give this app a try.

App constantly downloads!

The App always downloads content every time you open the magazine. Ridiculous.

Major download issues

While most other iPad ezines manage to download in a matter of minutes, this one took over 10 hours to deliver just 77%… And it's not just Road Bike Action but all the other cycling Pixelmags publications available on iTunes (such as Paved and Rouleur). None of these seem to download to completion. Which is something of a major disappointment when you take out a one year subscription like I did! Pixelmags support only advise a restart of the app or or the iPad itself or, if all else fails, to delete and reinstall the app. But this does not help with this ezine or any of the others Pixelmags sells here. It would seem that the real issue is at the server side; something Pixelmags seem not to recognise as a possible issue. I recommend just testing this out with just a one issue trial rather than taking out a subscription like I did. Great magazine. Dysfunctional delivery.
