Description
The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) is a Catholic translation of the Bible published in 1985. The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) has become the most widely used Roman Catholic Bible outside of the United States. It has the imprimatur of Cardinal George Basil Hume.
Like its predecessor, the Jerusalem Bible, the New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) version is translated "directly from the Hebrew, Greek or Aramaic." The 1973 French translation, the Bible de Jerusalem, is followed only "where the text admits to more than one interpretation." Introductions and notes, with some modifications, are taken from the Bible de Jerusalem.

Good app but could be improved.
The search function needs some improvement. For example Paul Corinth does not find anything. I would have expected finds for Corinth and Corinthians. But a good bible app and well worth downloading all the same.
The Jerusalem Bible
I have the same Jerusalem Bible on my 2 iPads that I use but not this iPhone. I would like to be able to jump to the line at daily Mass for reference like where can I fine
“Jesus wept” in the Gospel, the exact chapter and line. It will be a great help especially when teaching Catechism to have the quick reference by which book, chapter and verse. Jesus also said about the birds of the air and the flowers that don’t have to worry so we have to trust Him. I have to go through the author, guess which chapter or book and look for the line. Otherwise it is a great book especially for bible studies.

Very Handy
I have everything that i need in this app. I seldom read the actual bible but just using this app to read bible and pray. I can mark the last pages i read yesterday and continue from that page the next day. As it os an app and on the mobile, i don’t need light if i m on the bed at night after all lights switched off. Good work guys n May God Bless your good work. Thumbs up
