Description
SA Fires provides the current fire information from South Australia's Country Fire Service's web site.
The information can be listed in latest information first, most severe status first or the closest fires first.
The fires can also be mapped out on a google map to give some indication on their locations.

I Got Answers I Needed Desperately!
So yesterday, being one of the hottest days in history, there were massive bushfires where I grew up in the Adelaide Hills. Family trying to save their homes or evacuated made it impossible to contact many... it was terrifying to sit and wait in Adelaide, helpless!
This app is the only one that gave me accurate and up to date information that I was able to pass on to numerous family and friends who were worried about loved ones.
I went to the App Store for answers and found this. FINALLY an app that seemed to have what I needed. I wasn’t disappointed.... I was so relieved!
Well worth the $1.50 for the answers I couldn’t get anywhere else! I can’t thank you enough for this app! It’s truly been a lifesaver; stopped a heart attack waiting to happen, helped reduce anxiety, and gave us peace of mind... of sorts.

Sense of preparedness instead of helplessness
I would like to compliment the CFS on this wonderful App, which brings complete peace of mind, in relation to where fires are, how severe they are & how close they are to my house. Of course, one can never be at peace when the threat from fires is constantly on your mind! But at least you can feel informed, instead of floundering.
I refer to it almost every 15 mins, or more, & am able to make the correct choices regarding when to leave or stay.
It beats the old way, of going outside & seeing if you can smell smoke, & if you could, you had absolutely no way of telling was the smoke from the fires in Victoria, drifting into our state, or was there actually a fire nearby?
So thank you very much. It’s a huge help, making a massive difference in South Australians’ lives.

We had a fire go through our property in December last year & if I didn’t have this app we would’ve lost a lot more as “local radio” people were on holidays, the mobile service in this area is practically nil & the landline warning was sent to our MessageBank an hour after fire went through... & we didn’t get any warning except from this app so Thankyou.
