Still one of a kind
Sure, it hasn't been updated in some time, but this app is unmatched in what it does... Dropbox import problems, yeah sure, but there are other ways to get audio in.
Make no mistake, this app is the coolestestestest
Brilliant idea, flawed implementation, constant crashes
Have had heaps of fun playing with the included samples. The different tools really do turn this app into an instrument rather than a simple sampler.
The problem is I cannot get the import function to work consistently. Each attempt to import .wav samples from Dropbox is met with samplr crashing. These same .wav samples do not cause problems when imported to other music apps such as notation launchpad. If I can't bring my own samples into the app than it is essentially useless.
Although it's fun to play around with the included samples I really wish I hadn't wasted money on an app which (in my experience) is fundamentally flawed.
Needs to be updated to fix various bugs.
F19 - the phoenix will rise again it seems ...?
Fyi. it's a brilliant app. It still has some relevance. But...there are now a few too many bugs accumulated given it hasn’t been updated in a few years. But stay tuned... 🎶
