Great Tool, but One Major Flaw

This USB is great at transferring files from your PC (word docs, movies and photos) and makes it easy to open them up on my iDevices. HOWEVER! I have yet to find a way to transfer files the other way (photos are fine) I cannot save a word doc from the app to my USB, to the app or even copy it over from Files. To work around this, I have to save it to iCloud or OneDrive and reopen it on my PC. This kind of ruins the purpose and makes it a more efficient way to view files, not edit and transfer files.

If there is a way to do this, please send me a link to the instructions! If not, add this feature please!

Ixpand Drive

What rubbish. I was really wanting this to work but it doesn’t. The device was faulty from day one so I contacted sandisk support, as the device said it was backing up but after I flattened the battery on an iPad Pro it hadn’t backup anything. a hard reset of the app got me past this problem. I than backed up my camera roll of some 2,500 photos, using 9gb of my 120 gb drive and thought the problem was solved. The next day I set the device to auto backup when the drive was inserted (the reason I bought this particular drive) it starting backing up the complete camera roll again this time using 40gb. I again contacted support I was advised the only way to fix the problem was to reinstall the firmware but it can only be done on a windows computer. Like many users of this device with its lightning connector designed for use with IOS devices, they would belong to the Mac community (not good enough for sandisk). I was advised that I could return the device within 30 days for a refund. That is where it’s going. Stay clear of this drive not only the unit problematic but the software also leaves a lot to be desired.

Looks Ok but...

Hi, Please provide some option in this app like we can review Photos/Videos before transfer to iXpand USB. Also apps is hardly to use because when i use select all to copy Videos/Photos, suddenly “Operation Failed”. Can’t use for operation for all at once. I tried 1 or 2 files(eg. Videos) then 1 was copy then suddenly “Operation Failed”. Then it go back again to screen where will to choose copy option. And waiting for ages this apps to read all files that i have on my iPhone. Please FIX and UPDATE this App coz i bought the iXpand USB for about $80 and expecting to use it. I have it for almost 2 weeks but only 4 videos i’ve transferred so far. THANKS. Update: 30/7/‘21 Also just realized that using Video Record direct using iXpand was not good. Recording outdoor was sometimes are black sometimes are bright view was recorded. I have to touch screen each time the bright and dark ambience comes in. It’s not automatically adjust the brightness on the camera. Please update to use all features on the camera. Also please and advise for instruction. Thanks again.

Please fix ——
Copying files always drop, “couldn’t copy, please try again”.
Backing up photos/videos or data, always pop-up “couldn’t back up other items, please try again later”.
Copying selected photos/videos from photo library to iXpand always drop.

I have 128GB storage iXpand usb and only 31GB used.
