Description

Academic Room Sanskrit Dictionary is a premium Sanskrit to English dictionary app developed in the Harvard Innovation Lab.

Its massive database provides over one million definitions derived from classical Sanskrit dictionaries by Monier-Williams, Apte, and Macdonell. In addition, references from dhatu-patha (a collection of verbal roots with final forms) are also provided, when available.

All words can be searched using a Devanagari keyboard. Once downloaded, the app does not require internet access to operate.

Conspiracy Of Joy ,

Excellent.

Includes all the major Sanskrit dictionaries in a clear an easy to navigate interface with full offline functionality. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Best in store. But search in devanāgarī.

(1) This is exact clone of open source SanDic. Which is fine as thankful someone actually ported to IOS. (2) Monier uses annoying ”Ka1t2hGr2”, instead of proper “KāṭhGṛ”. (3) Multiple dictionaries. So it’s best offline all on one dic for Sanskrit students.

Excellent fo serious users

Excelllent for accessing the most authoritative sources quickly, although clearly not for the beginner
