Sayana is a subscription based app. However, we offer a free one-week trial before starting to charge the fee, so that you have some time to decide if it's a good fit for you! You can cancel your subscription any time, no hard commitment (๑•‿•๑)
If you chose to purchase Sayana subscription, payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. The app is really helpful.
One problem that I do have however is that if I mention the word suicide at all it immediately assumes that I’m suicidal, even though I’m referring to a friend I have that’s suicidal instead of myself.
I understand that it’s an app and that nothing is perfect, but I think that maybe before it ends the check-in with a helpline number it should ask if you specifically are the person who feels suicidal rather than just end the session right there.
I noticed this when the app game me a prompt along the lines of “what thought has been on your mind most of today” and I said that I was worried about one of my friends who’s suicidal and it just ended the session and assumed I was suicidal instead, which I found sort of irritating, I don’t know why though.
Maybe if it were to let you say that you want to help a suicidal friend, it could give you tips on how to do that.
Just an idea.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback! When someone mentions suicide in their posts or check-ins we always try to take preventive measures and send such users a hotline number to call so that they receive the help they might need. We don't have the possibility to monitor all check-ins manually, so we send the hotline number based on the trigger words mentioned by the user. We understand there is a limitation to it and sometimes it may not be relevant to the situation, but we hope for your understanding in this, as it may just save someone's life.🙏💜

I found this app to be really great actually. I was a bit apprehensive after reading all the negative reviews, although now that I have the app downloaded, I personally see no issues. I’ve been working on self-esteem and reducing negative thoughts and a lot of the methods suggested to me were interesting and effective. I like being able to chat with other people as well and how I feel like it’s a more personal experience. (P.s I like that you change personalise the app icon too, suits my aesthetic :) ) Definitely worth it IMO <3

Some people say the chatbot is not responsive enough!
This is incorrect! My job is to explore and evaluate (as well as develop) health apps. This, despite minor limitations, is one of the most delightful and “adequate” chatbots out there.
As long as the pricetag of the subscription doesn’t bother you, this is an EXCELLENT app!
Plus the community is really supportive and the little bites of training and thought-challenging educational bits are lovely.
Five stars! No doubt!
