Basic App works but missing key features

Very basic app that would be so much better if…
1. The ‘save password’ function actually worked.
2. There were more payment options available like PayPal or at the very least you could save credit card details for future purchases.

Absolutely terrible to use

I wish our school had of stuck with Flexischools. It doesn’t remember sign in , have to re enter card details every time , otherwise you can top up but incur the extra charges or pay the annual fee for unlimited plan ( whatever that means ) it doesn’t tell you if you choose that option will you still incur the credit card surcharge fees. No PayPal :( .
Last but not least the ordering is so tedious. Just ordered and had to keep starting a new order when trying to add something else ? It did not give me the option to go back to menu and continue the order. Meh!!!

We greatly appreciate the time you’ve taken out of our day to share your feedback with us and leave us a review. At School24 we welcome all sorts of feedback, especially when it identifies areas which we can improve upon. It’s our goal to make the ordering experience as quick, simple and easy as possible for parents, enabling you to get in, place your order, and get out, in as timely a manner as possible.


We are extremely disappointed to know that we have let you down and your experiences with the School24 app have not been positive. We’ve addressed each of the areas of concern which you have discussed (below):


1. Login ‘Remember me’ - Since you posted this review, you’ll be pleased to know that the “Remember me” function has now been resolved. The App will not auto-log you out if ‘Remember me’ is ticked. If however, for any particular reason you voluntarily log out of the app (though there is no need to), you will still need to enter your login details at the login page to log back in. If for any reason you continue to experience troubles, please get in touch with us at School24 Support on 02 7251 6939 or info@school24.net.au.

2. Remember Card details – This function will be resolved over the current school holidays and rolled out for the start of Term 4. Our payment gateway Stripe is the facilitator of storing Card Details. Stripe had updated their API’s which had affected the integration for which the ‘Remember Card’ details function relies on. The update of our payment gateway Stripe is something which had to be performed outside of school term so we did not affect the regular ordering for parents and schools.

3. Top-up incurring extra charges – We’re pleased to let you know that we do actually have a top-up option which is totally fee free, which you might find helpful. That top-up option is the EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) top-up option.
Simply send us an email at School24 support on info@school24.net.au and we will issue all the instructions on how to perform this top-up option. Further School24 does not charge any fees at all on top-ups. We use a payment gateway called ‘Stripe’ to process all card transactions and they have an automatic surcharge for which we don’t have control. If you were to top-up with a card, this is why the surcharge is applied. However, that’s why we have the EFT top-up method available for parents to utilise to enjoy fee free top-ups.

4. Ordering so tedious – When ordering it certainly isn’t necessary to keep starting a new order each time when trying to add something else. Within School24 you can order for multiple meal breaks (if your school serves for both meal breaks) and for all of your students in one go. To order for multiple students, it’s as simple as ticking the box next to the student’s name for the product you’d like, then pressing ‘Add to cart’. If you wish to add the same product for multiple students, you can tick both/all of the tick boxes for each of the students you have there. In terms of going back to the menu to continue your order; when at the final order confirmation page, it’s as easy as pressing the ‘three-lined menu icon’ in the top left-hand corner of the screen when you’re on the ‘Order Confirmation’ page/at the checkout, and this will make the menu appear. You can then simply just press the category you would like to view and continue ordering any products you like.

Not great

I would give this a 0 star if i could i have tried to sign up with 3 different emails each time it said an activation email has been sent but after 2-3 days i still have not received an activation email and with our activation i can not login and i cannot use the same email twice to try and register again fix this glitch or have a platform where we can contact someone to help us register and activate the account!!!
